What is the Bay of Plenty Group Emergency Management Office
(GEMO)?
The Bay of Plenty CDEM Group Emergency Management Office (GEMO)
was established in its present form in January 2008. The GEMO
function is to coordinate and facilitate the day to day planning
and project work on behalf of the CDEM Group. The GEMO is located
in the Bay of Plenty Regional Council offices in Mt Maunganui.
The GEMO consists of the following positions:
- Manager - Group Emergency Management Office
- Group Training Officer
- Group Emergency Management Officer/Lifelines Coordinator
